A major bank outsourced it’s mainframe IT support dept. from to operate as a free standing, competitive business.  The new business entity was struggling with how they needed to prepare to structure and transform itself to be successful.  The biggest challenge was how to change the culture from a backroom systems support group to an entrepreneurial style business.  We started by facilitating a Senior Management Team off-site to assess the impact of the change and identify key priorities for organizational change.  They develop a compelling image for why they needed to change and an action plan for engaging staff int he process.   We helped communicate the need for change and engaged staff in a large group engagement session where we involved everyone in assessing barriers to change and launching action teams to take on the most critical tasks.  The result was a commitment to the new business model and the implementation of organizational functions and culture to support it’s sucess.
